1981 Dorothy Anderson Rhodes She was a 1920’s – 1930’s tennis star. She played on the men’s team at Penn State.

1981 Niven Bayer He was a 1930’s era Butler HS graduate who was an outstanding athlete in basketball, football, and track. He helped organize the Butler Cubs and it’s many athletic programs. He captained the Cubs teams from 1936 – 1939. His prep school career was at Georgetown Prep.

1981 Harry Leyland For over 60 years he was a local basketball coach in the Butler Catholic Schools. He also coached and served as a coach and director in the Butler Area Midget Football League.

1981 William “Bill” Sutliff Caldwell NJ graduate, and a Dean Academy in Franklin MA. and then a Penn State graduate before coming to Karns City from the 1940’s through the 1960’s as the legendary basketball and football coach at Karns City HS. His 1941 team was 24-1.
