Mike Seybert (2026)
A 1980 Butler Area High School graduate, Mike Seybert competed in cross-country and track in his senior year. He received a scholarship to Dusquesne University, where he served as a team captain and earned all-conference honors three times.
Following college, Seybert began coaching and has coached Butler’s high school track and field team for more than 40 years.
During Seybert’s coaching tenure at Butler, the Golden Tornado track program has won 23 WPIAL team championships (boys and girls combined), 89 individual WPIAL and nine individual state championships. In indoor track, the program has produced 171 individual Western Pa. champions. Combined under Seybert’s watch, Butler indoor and outdoor track teams have produced 256 individual state medalists.
