
Joe Lewandowski (2025)
A Slippery Rock University graduate, Joe Lewandowski averaged 12.2 points per game, 6.9 rebounds per game, 1.9 assists per game and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 48.1% from the field and playing 32.1 minutes per game. Joe was a 2-time captain and earned academic all-region honors. Before SRU, Lewandowski transferred from Butler County Community College where he was a National Junior College Athletic Association All-American.
Following college, Joe played professionally in Denmark, before he started coaching. Over the years, Joe held coaching positions at Butler and Deer Lakes high schools, as well as Point Park University before arriving at his current position at BC3.
Joe’s BC3 teams have earned a Western Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Tournament title and a Region 20 Championship. Joe is a 1-time recipient of the WPCC Coach of the Year Award.
Joe’s coaching career is also extended to an international level. Joe has been involved in USA 3v3 basketball since 2012. Joe has worked on 27 USA 3v3 head coaching assignments in international competitions for both men’s and women’s divisions. His teams have won 7 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 1 bronze medal. In 2023, Joe was the Men’s USA Team’s head coach during the FIBA World Cup, the Pan American Games and the FIBA World Tour. Joe led the 3v3 Men’s Team to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where he also served as the team’s head coach.
Joe’s coaching career also includes 5 College National Players of the Year (all 5 also receiving the John Wooden Award), as well as 6 WNBA first-round draft picks.
